HackerGrrlz Project Gallery

Now that our first two pilot sessions of the HackerGrrlz program are complete, we’re ready to celebrate with a graduation! Girls in grades 4-8 learned coding concepts in 6 weeks, at schools across Waterloo Region. They were led by an incredible team of mentors, women working in or studying STEM at a post-secondary level.

Two of the apps we use to teach coding are Scratch and Thimble. They both provide an environment that makes it easier to create, as well as share projects, and they are FREE! Click on the project to view it in full.
